Trans World Hotel Donauwelle - Linz

I stayed for one night with my family and found the room to be sparkling clean, which really made a good impression. The breakfast was simple but fresh, and those cherry tomatoes were a delightful surprise! The location is convenient as it’s right next to the highway, perfect for a quick stop during our travels. I did find the pillows to be too flat for my liking, which caused some neck discomfort. it was a decent stay.

The venue was ideal, I enjoyed the stay and the location was perfect just next door to a beautiful promenade to take a walk or ride a bike to the vibrant city center with nice playgrounds and parks along the way, Danube park, and the river bank of the Danube. Had savoury breakfasts for my "promotional prices ";)))

The lack of free wifi in the room and when used in the lobby was extremely slow - almost unusable. This should be a requirement of all 3 star and above hotels and it should be fast.

Flat pillows can disrupt sleep, but the breakfast and cleanliness are excellent during your stay.

Location

The toilet smelled like urine. There was almost no toilet paper and no towels. I had request towels. The hotel staff appeared cold and arrogant to me. There is no A/C and everything (wifi, parking) has a hefty extra price. For that price I really expect something else.

Breakfast and outdoor restaurant.

Disappointing. We stayed at this hotel last year for Ars Electronica and it was better value for money. Mattress in very bad shape and we have a winter bad covers although temperature outside was 30 degrees.No slippers and bathrobe in the room in a 4 star hotel?! Breakfast is good but over rated! For 15 euros per person, you can have a lunch in some of best restaurants in Linz. Never again.

Recommend it for couples seeking comfort

Room was super clean, really the cleanest I have seen for a hotel! And the big view over the Danube from the window was fantastic! It was like I was on top of the world, just watching the boats pass by like they weren't even real.

It wasn't inexpensive but still acceptable for the quality we got.

Fantastic views from the room. Very pleasant staff. Lovely terrace for evening drinks or breakfast. Linz is beautiful little town with lots of good restaurants. Will definitely go back and spend longer here to explore the surrounding area.

Location was a bit further from town centre than we thought but not a problem as taxis were cheap and efficient.

The hotel offers a welcome drink upon arrival, and it's pet-friendly too! The location along the beautiful Danube shore is perfect for leisurely strolls, and the staff was helpful with local tour information 🐾😊

Air conditioning could be quieter.

we didnt enjoy it. The photos on the site are misleading and the service was bad.

No free wi fi in the rooms. It costs a fortune to get wi fi. 4.5 euros per hour and 9,5 euros for 5 hours. This is such a rip off! Just for this do not stay in this hotel! Location two kilometres away from city centre. Nothing fancy about this hotel.
